Klari Reis

I completely forgot about Klari Reis, i looked at her in the last project, she hand paints petri dishes to look like organic forms.  I love the layout of her installations, just as we were talking about yesterday they are clinical and in collections.
Take a look: http://klarireis.blogspot.co.uk/

The way she uses colour is amazing, however i have decided to definitely stick with the clinical clean cut white theme throughout the exhibition, with the odd fleck of green from the natural grown materials.

I have began to lay out my and work to see if theres a common technique or sample process that could be included within the exhibition. Heres a few samples of work ive done over the past week or so, such as machine embroidery and plaster samples next to my earlier drawings and samples.

Plaster samples i have grown upside down cress in and contrasting textures with man made and natural moss.

  1. Jess these are lovely! you will have to tell me how you have cast your own things, I need some more help! They really work well with the simple colour of the plaster too! Quite reflective of your ideas about future and growing things.
