Today on our visit/meeting to blank media, i took some photographs of the space to help us visualise how our work will look, if we do get the space.

Think it was agreed that we all thought the space was perfect and exactly what we wanted, but there was the slight problem about the cost of the space. We have time to discuss over the next couple of days though and we have other options/possibilities to look at too. If it doesn't work out and we cant use the space, speaking to Kate before made me realise that we still gained experience from going and visiting, meeting these people, seeing how these things work and showing our own work which i found went really well and they seemed really excited and enthusiastic about all of our ideas which gave us all a bit of a confidence boost and maybe a little motivation!
I agree it was a huge confidence boost and a fantastic experience, even if we don't get the space we have all learnt from it and we have put Blank Media onto our mental Map in manchester.
ReplyDeleteYeah definatley, we know its there for future projects and things, and know what to expect from these places now. We should just see it as a positive thing!
ReplyDeleteEven if we don't get this space, theres a lot of possible things we can do to Hotspur to make it right for us. Then we still have the contact for future exhibitions for Blank media when theres more of us or when we have more funding. Its made me realise that the actual 'Instillation artist' world might not be the route i want to go down.
